Thank you so much! We got a lot of recipe inspirations: this Fougasse bread was one of our favorites! https://www.acouplecooks.com/fougasse-bread/ This tomato confit was also inspired by a meal we ate in France: https://www.acouplecooks.com/tomato-confit/ I should link to these in the post, good idea! :)

We’ve been to Aix-en-Provence and that region twice (the last time was last summer to attend a real French wedding in Aix), and we love Cassis. Sipping Pastis and eating olives along the water people watching and watching the boats go in and out – what a lovely way to spend an afternoon! Since we were honored American guests at the wedding last August, (we were the host family for the bride many years ago and have remained close with her and her family) we were invited to attend all of the weeklong pre-wedding events, including a boat ride from Marseille to swim in what they call La Côte Bleue near les Calanques. I would live in France if I could. Next time you go, take me along, lol! (My French is pretty good!)

I’m glad you had such a wonderful trip with your family. I was just in the south of France and Paris a month ago, and one of my best friends recently moved to the northeast of France, so I really appreciate the recs about Cassis. Next time I visit her we can go! I love France and the Med region. Hubby and I used to live in Germany and we’ve traveled back and forth with our daughter starting at 6 months. She’s now 21 and just studied abroad in Vienna, so I’m warning you that they catch the travel bug too! Thanks for sharing!
